We recently shot David Chang and his delicious food at Ssam Bar for The Aesthete. Its been a few years since we ate at Ssam Bar and we kind of forgot how great the food is there. It is a perfect balance of classic and modern, heavy and light. We are big fan of pickles, and their pickle plate may be our all time favorite, each vegetable is brined with a different flavor ranging from sweet to spicy. We liked the kim chi apple & bacon salad which was served over a creamy yogurt. The roasted duck is so tasty with the accompanying spicy and sweet sauces, and wrapped up in fresh lettuce. Don't forget the pork buns!
